Brexit Highlights 23–29 October 2017

– The Treasury Committee published its report on the Solvency II Directive—a harmonised EU-wide insurance regulatory scheme. One chapter refers to Brexit.

– The Government responded to the report of the EU Home Affairs Sub-Committee on Brexit: the EU data protection package. More information can be found here.

– The House of Commons Library produced a new briefing paper – Brexit: the October negotiations.

– Susie Alegre wrote a post for Doughty Street Chambers blog – Citizenship, Identity and the Quagmire of Brexit Negotiations.

– Colin Yeo highlighted a report on the Free Movement blog Brexit increasing risk of modern slavery, report reveals.

– Written evidence – EU (Withdrawal) Bill and its implications for human rights and equality in Northern Ireland – was made available on the Queen’s Brexit Resource Guide.

– Stavros Zenios wrote an article for BruegelEU borders: walking backwards from Northern Ireland to Cyprus.

– The European Parliamentary Research Service Blog published a list of reports produced by think tanks on Brexit – Latest thinking on Brexit [What Think Tanks are thinking].
